Leading Lives of Integrity

We  believe that individual integrity is fundamental
to a healthy community.

The work of Integrity at FDR is facilitated and led by The Integrity Committee.

The Integrity Committee’s charge is to cultivate a learner-centered, inclusive environment where all members of our community feel valued and have a sense of belonging as defined by our definition of inclusion and indicators of inclusion (see below). The committee ensures that our community is empowered to lead lives of integrity, by aligning their words and actions, taking responsibility for the consequences of their choices, and treating themselves and others with respect.

Our definition of integrity:

All members of our community will consistently align their words
and actions, take responsibility of the consequence of their choices
and treat themselves and others with respect.

Our definition of integrity directly stems from one of our three, mission-aligned strategic objectives:

All students will:

  • consistently engage in exploring and sharing diverse learning experiences in pursuit of educational excellence (pursue their passion for learning).

  • consistently align their words and actions, take responsibility for the consequences of their choices and treat themselves and others with respect (lead lives of integrity).

  • choose to act as socially responsible change agents for sustainable solutions to challenges in their community (create socially responsible solutions).

Our definition of inclusion:

Inclusion is the way we think and act to show that we are all respected, feel valued and belong within our community.

Indicator's of Inclusion

  • Community members feel respected and respect one another

  • Diversity is viewed as a fact of life that should be celebrated

  • The community recognizes that each person has the potential to contribute

  • Everyone belongs

  • The school promotes active participation and collaboration of all its community members

Our definition of diversity:

Diversity is defined as all of our human differences, which may or may not be visible, within our overarching similarities.
